Imagine Art is celebrating 30 years of supporting artists with disabilities in Austin, Texas! To mark this milestone, we’re bringing the creativity of our community to the Austin Studio Tour.

Our community is enriched by the many colors, perspectives, and experiences of our artists. Each brings a unique voice, vision, and creative expression to the canvas. Together, their work creates a vibrant portrait of who we are—celebrating individuality, imagination, creativity, and the beauty of difference.

Emerging Artist Series | February 2026 - April 2026
Imagine Art celebrates its emerging artists through a series of solo walls highlighting the unique vision and creative expression of each artist. This exhibition features the work of four artists: Kelly Reider, Mason Day, Richmond Freeman, and Steven Fisher. Each artist brings a distinctive perspective, style, and voice to the Imagine Art community, offering visitors an opportunity to experience their work more deeply and celebrate their individual artistic journeys.

2025 Austin Studio Tour | November 2025 - January 2026
Imagine Art continues to make its mark on Austin’s cultural landscape with a vibrant exhibition featuring the work of our community artists. This exhibition showcases the creativity and diverse perspectives of 40 artists through more than 90 works of art, celebrating the many voices that make the Imagine Art community unique.
Home is Where the Art Is | June 2025- October 2025
Home is Where the Art Is celebrates a new chapter for Imagine Art: our inaugural exhibition in our permanent home at LIVE+MAKE. For artists, home is more than a place—it is a space to create, imagine, connect, and belong. LIVE+MAKE provides a place where art and community come together, giving our artists a home in which their creativity can flourish.
This exhibition celebrates that beginning, bringing together the work of Imagine Art artists to fill our new space with color, creativity, and expression. As we settle into our forever home, we are reminded that home is not simply where we live or work—it is where we are known, valued, and free to create.
Home is Where the Art Is marks the beginning of a new chapter, and we invite you to celebrate this homecoming with us.
2024 Austin Studio Tour - Virtual | November 2024 - Currently Online
The 2024 Austin Studio Tour marked a moment of transformation for Imagine Art. While our new home at LIVE+MAKE was still taking shape, our artists were already preparing to emerge into a new chapter.
Like a butterfly within its cocoon, Imagine Art was in a period of growth, change, and anticipation. Our artists continued to create, explore, and express themselves while we looked toward the opening of our permanent home—a place designed to bring art, community, and belonging together.
Metamorphosis celebrates that process of becoming. The artwork in this virtual exhibition reflects the creativity and individuality of our artists while offering a glimpse of where we had been and where we were going.
JCC Show | May 2024 - August 2024
In 2024, Shalom Austin invited Imagine Art to bring the work of our artists to the Toby Shor JGallery, providing an exciting opportunity to share their creativity beyond the walls of Imagine Art.
Exhibiting in a public gallery offered our artists a chance to reach new audiences and invite the Austin community to experience their unique perspectives and artistic voices. The exhibition celebrated not only the artwork itself, but also the importance of creating opportunities for artists with disabilities to be seen, recognized, and valued as contributing members of Austin’s vibrant arts community.
We are grateful to Shalom Austin for opening its gallery to Imagine Art and helping us expand the reach of our artists and their work.
