Imagine Art’s Open House was a Family Affair

The weekend of October 15, proved to be a competitive time for everybody holding small events, hoping people would show up to support them. There was the UT football game, the division championship for Austin FC, the cooler weather, and the weekend long ACL concert.

Thank goodness that artists came to Imagine Art’s Open House with their parents, friends and relatives in tow. Everybody joined in to make the beautiful Fall mid-day event chill, fun and successful.

From the Open House, the community took home a lot of painted pumpkins, as well as other types of art. Chris Green Martinez ended up with the Princess Pumpkin, so lovingly painted by Angela Huston. Kali took home Courtney’s black cat, Thackery Binks. Tamiko Drake made off with daughter Tatiana’s Black Pumpkin. There were probably seven pumpkins in all that left Imagine Art’s studio on Saturday, October 15th.

The next big event at Imagine Art is the Austin Studio Tour, which kicks-off November 5, with a Raku demonstration at 12 noon. We hope to see y’all there!
