ANASTASIA SEREMETIS

Artist Bio

Anastasia Seremetis brings the flavor of her Russian culture to Imagine Art’s studio where she is involved with ceramics, painting, and sewing. A small, oval ceramic piece depicting the St. Basil's Cathedral and featuring the iconic tented-roof style domes of the fifteenth century is one Anastasia is particularly proud of. Since she has been sewing for the last eight years, and in the Russian tradition, Anastasia also makes handmade dolls. One of her earliest works since coming to Imagine Art is an acrylic painting of a colorful set of Matryoshka dolls, also known as nesting dolls, where smaller dolls reside inside bigger ones. To keep focused on her culture, she attends weekly Russian Meetups where she converses in her native tongue and shares her experiences with the other ex-patriots. In the future, she hopes to become a successful artist and donate her art to orphanages and nonprofits.
