Another prolific artist in Imagine Art’s ceramic Studio is Amy Chagoya. She learns much by collaborating with others to mold clay into functional objects like bowls, mugs, and vases. Her specialty is putting the decorative touches, such as hearts and flowers, to the pieces. An artist for nearly eight years, early on she produced mainly flat pieces then decorated them with theme based designs. Since coming to IA, under the guidance of Justine and Jonathan, Amy has expanded her skills. That includes learning how to construct objects, the proper way to attach handles, and refining her pieces to make sure they are functional, polished, and more marketable. Her latest creations are colorful clay beads strung together that make attractive necklaces.
