TRAINING 4 TRANSFORMATION

It all started when…
The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities provided a multi-year grant to establish a certification program that will train and certify people who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) to provide peer support, in an effort to empower peers with I/DD to direct their own services through a person-centered planning process.
Forty participants are invited to engage in Year-One to participate in the development of the certification program and final publication.
The project seeks active participants, people with I/DD as well as Life Coaches who are non-disabled or other-disabled, to attend monthly training sessions and weekly support and training groups. Participants are encouraged to contribute feedback as well as art responses to a developing curriculum (i.e. stories, illustrations, songs, video and screenplays). Please contact T4T using the form below for details.
