"I am a self-taught gifted artist."

"My art mainly reflects my spiritual closeness to the greatest artist, God. I have been creative my entire life. Art is an outlet of my broken heart, to slowly mend. It is a way to express my innermost mixed emotions. My art is dedicated to my brother, God and Jesus Christ."

-Wallace Carpenter

Wallace Carpenter began creating art at the age of 47 when his internet marketing business went belly up. Living with a disability of mental illness, Wallace's life experiences and inner emotions unfold a unique story unto the blank pages that are his canvas. His apartment is literally filled, from floor to ceiling, with his drawings and 3 dimensional sculptures created with recycled materials.

Wallace spends 12 hours a day working on his art. He has three primary series that he continues to pursue. The first is called "circle art", a technique of filling in shapes and spaces with circles, 1/16"round using pencils, ink and acrylic. Over 50 works of art have been created using this method. Over 100 patterns have been created in the process.

Collage with found objects is another fascination that Wallace has. Creating whatever comes to mind and using whatever he might find, Wallace creates on canvas, paper, wood or other objects. These works are typically large and often incorporate the use of Dr. Pepper and Marlboro cigarette packaging materials.

The third series is named the "Jesus Images." Over 60 works depicting the face of Jesus have been created on 8 ½ X 11 paper, using a scribble technique.
He spent three years in Taylor, Texas, where he began to intensely explore art and thereby developed his techniques. Wallace returned to Austin, Texas and currently lives there. Wallace continues to create his art and has high ambition for selling it through his home based business, CRC Unique Ideal's and Adventures!
