Clay Garden

John, an artist and volunteer, has created a whimsical ceramics and herb garden on the side of our building adjoining the fine art studio. The garden serves as a retreat and general hang out space for the artists when they want to enjoy some sunshine. This is another example of artists making our space more beautiful through their creative gifts.

  1. John says:

The space transformation is a slow process, which was physically initiated by other artists, and is awaiting more materials. The herbs are used in the kitchen along with the vegetables which is in separate garden. The ceramics being included into the herbs was a means intended to save steps and to display the finished work for artist pick up and open up some space in the kiln area. The terracing increase the usable space and is now an extension to the studio space weather permitting which is most of the time as this is central Texas.
